Criterion Capital Partners LLC, also known as simply Criterion, is an American global Internet company. It is best known for been the owners of Bebo, a social network, after buying it from Internet giants AOL for a reported $10 million.
Bebo is a social networking website launched in July 2005. On June 16, 2010, Bebo was sold to Criterion Capital Partners. The purchase was confirmed on June 17, 2010. Since the takeover, Bebo has changed drastically, with many parts of the site revamped and brand new features added, to a positive reception by Bebo's users.
